While on vacation in Puerto Rico last week. Taking these worms was the way to go. The fish were constantly biting from the surf and pier.

I finally used this product after purchasing a year ago. Caught a small halibut (released of course). I’ll be going back to local beaches and try out again. Any thoughts on other similar bait? Ghost shrimp for example?

Hi Bill! I haven't had a chance to try the dried lug worms yet. I gave one pack to my nephew, but haven't had any feed back. I used to get the live lug worms from Wyles in Malibu. My dad always took me there in the middle 60's. How has the feed back on these? I'm looking forward to trying them. Thanks again Gary Ricard Santa Monica

Definitely my "go to" bait when the bite gets tough. These dried lugworms always get bit !!
An OK bait, not as durable as live blood worms. Not easy to hook, must use a thin wire; I use a 4 owner mosquito or Gamakatsu on worm while dry. More difficult for me to put on the hook when wet, too slippery. Once wet, durability doesn't last long, easy for perch to just rip off the hook if they don't take the whole bait. Have not yet caught any larger species that would usually just take the whole bait, like croaker, corbina, guitar fish, etc. But then again, haven't caught any of the latter species yet this season on any other baits either. So, for me, the jury is still out on the dried lugs so far.

Worked great for catching fish in SoCal, brought them to the Gulf and they're great for everything from bait to surf species!
The dry lug worms are great!

Each package had a wide spectrum of quality worms. I felt that the three packs really only provided 50-60% of decent worms that were useable. Wasn’t sure if they were “seconds” or if that was industry standard. The plump worms were very effective, the scrawny ones not so much.
Delivered as promised. Only bait I’ve caught a fish on.
A little goes along way with these lug worms. Thread about an inch on your hook and pinch off the rest. They do get soft really fast when they get wet, but still stay on hook. I would recommend these for So Calif surf fishing.
I am looking forward to trying them out this summer.
