Dried Lugworms – The Ultimate Surf Fishing Bait
Take your fishing game to the next level with our premium dried lugworms, specially crafted for surf anglers targeting a wide variety of fish. Proven to catch species like barred surf perch, corbina, croakers, halibut, striped bass, white sea bass, and more, these lugworms work for most, if not all, surf fish species—making them a must-have bait for anglers across the U.S.
Unlike live bait, dried lugworms offer unbeatable convenience. With a long shelf life, no refrigeration required, and resealable packaging, they’re always ready whenever you hit the surf. Plus, they’re mess-free and easy to use—simply hook them as-is or rehydrate with your favorite scent or juice for added appeal.
Designed for performance, dried lugworms stay secure on your hook, making them ideal for long casts and rough surf conditions. Whether you're fishing the West Coast, East Coast, or Gulf waters, our dried lugworms deliver consistent results every time.
Why Choose Dried Lugworms?
Versatile: Works great for most surf fish species, including perch, bass, flounder, and more.
Convenient: No refrigeration needed; perfect for on-the-go fishing trips.
Durable: Stays on the hook longer, even during aggressive bites.
Reliable: Year-round availability to keep you fishing no matter the season.
NOTE: Worm color may vary from green to a light yellow depending on the batch of worms

Store owner replied: So awesome Javier! They are great to take on the road because they are light, small and have no odor...good job!
I finally used this product after purchasing a year ago. Caught a small halibut (released of course). I’ll be going back to local beaches and try out again. Any thoughts on other similar bait? Ghost shrimp for example?

I have not tried them yet..Looking forward to it though

Worked well but probably won’t buy again. $24 a little too steep for a bait that gets stolen by the tinies all the time.

Hi Bill! I haven't had a chance to try the dried lug worms yet. I gave one pack to my nephew, but haven't had any feed back. I used to get the live lug worms from Wyles in Malibu. My dad always took me there in the middle 60's. How has the feed back on these? I'm looking forward to trying them. Thanks again Gary Ricard Santa Monica

Definitely my "go to" bait when the bite gets tough. These dried lugworms always get bit !!

An OK bait, not as durable as live blood worms. Not easy to hook, must use a thin wire; I use a 4 owner mosquito or Gamakatsu on worm while dry. More difficult for me to put on the hook when wet, too slippery. Once wet, durability doesn't last long, easy for perch to just rip off the hook if they don't take the whole bait. Have not yet caught any larger species that would usually just take the whole bait, like croaker, corbina, guitar fish, etc. But then again, haven't caught any of the latter species yet this season on any other baits either. So, for me, the jury is still out on the dried lugs so far.

Each package had a wide spectrum of quality worms. I felt that the three packs really only provided 50-60% of decent worms that were useable. Wasn’t sure if they were “seconds” or if that was industry standard. The plump worms were very effective, the scrawny ones not so much.

Delivered as promised. Only bait I’ve caught a fish on.

A little goes along way with these lug worms. Thread about an inch on your hook and pinch off the rest. They do get soft really fast when they get wet, but still stay on hook. I would recommend these for So Calif surf fishing.
